Our team of Exercise Physiologist have all completed a minimum 4-year degree at university to become highly trained allied health professionals. We specialise in the prevention, treatment and management of chronic disease and or injury through the delivery of exercise and education. Our aim is to empower our clients to take back control of their health using evidence-based interventions including education on health and movement and by providing support and advice on how to effectively achieve behavioural change and lifestyle modifications.
We are a team of dedicated Allied Health professionals who are passionate about building strong relationships with our clients to provide a high level of health and wellbeing services. We work with you to provide education on your condition and prescribe safe and effective exercise interventions aimed at reducing your symptoms and improving your health.

Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

At Activate Health and Movement, we understand the challenges and impact having a Chronic disease/condition can have on your health and your quality of life. As Allied health professionals we understand the important role that exercise plays in the prevention, treatment and management of a wide range of chronic conditions.
We work with you and your GP to provide education on your condition and prescribe safe and effective exercise interventions aimed at reducing your symptoms and improving your health. Our focus is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to take back control of your health.

If you have a Chronic disease/condition (as determined by your GP), then you may be eligible for Allied Health visits to an Exercise Physiologist under the Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan. TO find out if you are eligible, please speak to your GP or contact us to find out more.

Veterans' Health

At Activate Health and Movement, we provide exercise services to help support our veteran community to work toward improving their mental and physical health. All clients who hold a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) gold card and eligible white card holders may be referred for clinically necessary Exercise Physiology treatment on a valid D904 referral form.
We provide tailored individual or group-based exercise sessions designed to assist veterans in their rehabilitation and/or management of chronic conditions and injury.

We work closely with our clients to develop a comprehensive exercise program that is goal orientated, promotes independence and improves health outcomes, tailored specifically to the needs of each individual.
We offer the following options to assist you with your needs; Gym based therapy, Aquatic-based therapy, Home-based therapy and Small group exercise therapy. Our services can be accessed through funding within a Client NDIS Plan under the Support Categories of Improved Health and Wellbeing and Improved Daily Living Skills.

Hydrotherapy

At Activate Health and Movement we can provide clients with a tailored hydrotherapy program for clients who are experiencing chronic pain conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions or those who are needing post-surgery rehabilitation. Hydrotherapy allows for the client to move through a movement freely without the added strain of load bearing, allowing our team to work closely with our clients to slowly increase weight bearing movement using the resistance of the water to improve strength and stability.
